Involved understanding of the assessment / examination process for the 11+, SATS & other ‘bespoke’ examinations. (Held the role of in-school assessment coordinator for 3+ years).
An involved understanding of learning styles as well as targeted approaches for student-centred progression.

I use a combination of traditional teaching methods and collaborative, enquiry-based approaches as a way to help foster independence and self directed learning in my students. Our progress is directed through a cycle of target setting, assessment and review; detailed and straightforward communication with parents is central to my process.
